Cast your vote for Phoenicia as America's Coolest Small Town in Budget Travel Magazine

Vote now! We received 80 nominations and then selected 20 American towns that stand out from the crowd. Cast your ballot below, and feel free to defend your picks in our comments section.

How to vote

1. Click on a star to read a review of the town (see a list of all 20 competitors).
2. Once the review is open, you can vote for that town by clicking the "ADD TO BALLOT" button.
3. The selected town will now show up on the ballot.
4. Click "CAST YOUR BALLOT" on the ballot box to submit your vote and see which towns are winning.

NOTE: You may vote for a total of four towns, one in each section of the country: Northeast, South, Midwest, West.

Vote before the poll closes on February 11, 2011, and then spread the word. And if you can spare the time, upload photos and videos of the restaurants, galleries, shops, and natural settings that make your town the coolest in the country. Remember that we're looking for towns with a little bit of an edge, more avant-garde than quaint. To take a look at cool small towns from previous years, read our lists from 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010

The top winners will be featured in the September 2011 issue of Budget Travel magazine.

Valentines Making Sessions at the Phoenicia Library

Start Thursday January 20th,

and run every

Monday 3:30-5 PM, Thursday 3:30-5 PM

and Saturday 1-2:30 PM

thru Thursday Feb 10.

But you can stop in anytime to create a Valentine!

This is an important fundraiser for the library.

We supply cardstock, fancy papers, stickers, die cut shapes, glitter, glue, ribbons, lace – a table heaped full of colorful potential just waiting for your creative input. You supply the labor, together with the rest of the moms, dads, friends, staff members, volunteers, and most important of all, children. You get to keep one of the cards you make (your choice). The others are made available at the library and several other locations in town, and we ask for a suggested $1 donation for the benefit of the library.
